Course Description

EDUX 7842 Picture-Perfect Science Lessons.  In this course, participants will discover practical strategies presented by Karen Ansberry and Emily Morgan in their book Picture-Perfect Science Lessons - Expanded 2nd Edition: Using Children's Books to Guide Inquiry, 3-6 to combine the appeal of children's picture books with Standards-based science content.  Course participants will examine ready-to-teach lessons that use high-quality fiction and nonfiction picture books to guide hands-on science inquiry.  This course will present classroom-tested lessons in science that include comprehensive background notes, reading strategies, and clearly identified National Science Education Standards.
