Course Description

EDUX 7839 Effective Practices in Early Childhood Education: Building a Foundation.  In this course, participants will examine practical strategies presented by Sue Bredekamp in her book Effective Practices in Early Childhood Education: Building a Foundation to help develop children's executive function, self-regulation, and positive approaches to learning.  Course participants will learn developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood education to help make a difference in children's lives.  Teachers will learn how to support and protect the role of play in children's education, STEM teaching and learning, and culturally responsive curriculum.
