EDUX 7820  When Kids Can't Read: What Teachers Can Do


This course explores effective strategies for helping middle and high school students who can’t read. Through a book written by Kylene Beers, When Kids Can't Read - What Teachers Can Do:A Guide for Teachers 6-12, participants will examine how to assist struggling readers with comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, word recognition, and motivation. The course offers suggestions for improving readers skills, attitudes, and confidence.
