This course explores effective strategies for improving literacy and math in the elementary classroom from the book The Daily 5: Fostering Literacy in the Elementary Grades (Moser & Boushey, 2014). Participants will examine how to structure class time to increase student independence and allow for individualized attention. The course offers suggestions for engaging learners, addressing common challenges, and developing student accountability. Students will learn how to successfully integrate the Daily 5 and enhance their classroom practice.
