Course Description
EDUX 6675 (Available for 1, 2 or 3 units). This course provides teachers and teacher leaders a deeper understanding of how to effectively plan for student thinking and learning. Using chapter readings and the ideas of “deep design” from Anne Reeves’s book Where Great Teaching Begins, the course focuses on the critical role that student learning objectives play in the learning process. It also examines how these learning objectives inform assessment and instruction.Course participants will use the ideas of deep design to decide how to take proper advantage of technology tools for instruction in the 21st century.
