Course Description

EDUX 5720 (A, B, C, D). This course provides teachers with the skills necessary to use storytelling as a key to unlock student motivation and reading literacy throughout the curriculum. As participants gain an understanding of the powerful tool of storytelling, their presentations become more compelling, interesting and effective. In addition, hands-on development of materials for EO and ELD, as well as word walls, will be covered in this course. Participants will discover how factual information in social science and science can become humanized and much more memorable when imbedded in the storytelling process.
