EDUX 5670: FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION: THE ART & SCIENCE OF CREATING STANDARDS-BASED MATERIALS

Course Description

EDUX 5670 (A, B, C, D).  

This course provides educators with the opportunity to discover and create effective art projects and processes that will enrich student learning in areas such as language arts and math. It will assist participants in developing materials that will capture students’ attention and inspire their imagination. The course presents various ways educators can bring out student creativity and improve self-image as children find expression through art. Participants will construct hands-on materials to assist in differentiated instruction, incorporating exciting projects into the core curriculum for use in learning centers and/or cooperative learning groups. 


Course Requirements

Information regarding the specific COURSE REQUIREMENTS will be given the first day of class.

GRADING:  Things that affect your grade are attendance, promptness, participation in class discussions, quality of work generated, projects completed, and quality of assignments and homework completed. Active on-task participation is necessary to receive credit.

* Please note that the student may take up to four sections of this same course number designated A, B, C or D.  There are four levels to this course.  These courses must be taken in sequential order (e.g., "A" must be taken before "B").  
When enrolling, students are responsible for knowing the section of the course for which they are eligible.
