EDUX 7760. Course participants will examine an interdisciplinary approach to integrating the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) into their curriculum, instruction and assessments. Participants will summarize and evaluate research on the course topic, actively engage in related activities, and establish future goals for their classroom. During this course, students enhance their instructional practice through applying research-based strategies and reflecting on their learning experiences. This course combines educational theory and practical implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards.
NOTE: Independent Study is an adaptable learning format for teachers to gain university credit as they choose a subject that is of interest to them as well as beneficial for their classroom.
