EDUX 7750 (3 units). In this course, participants will learn how to motivate, engage and inspire their students by providing relevant and rigorous opportunities to apply math and science knowledge to real world problems. Participants will summarize and evaluate research on the course topic, actively engage in related activities, and establish future goals for their classroom. During this course, students enhance their instructional practice through applying research-based strategies and reflecting on their learning experiences. This course combines educational theory and practical implementation of effective STEM instruction.
NOTE: Independent Study is an adaptable learning format for teachers to gain university credit as they choose a subject that is of interest to them as well as beneficial for their classroom.
