Course Description
NOTE: This course is offered as a follow-up practicum with educational conferences, workshops, seminars or other professional development experiences:
EDUX 7502 (F, G, H). Mathematics Instruction and Effective Practices –B
Prerequisite: EDUX 7501. This course is designed to examine how an educator’s professional development experiences in a mathematics conference or seminar have influenced his or her teaching or educational leadership. Students will summarize, reflect, evaluate and/or further research the math topics and issues covered in their professional development experience. This is a creative and unique opportunity for teachers and administrators to gain university credit as they analyze their previous professional development experiences, enhance their instructional practice, and establish future goals for their school or classroom.
Course Requirements
This course is available for 1, 2, or 3 units. Please see Course Level pull-down menu to the right to choose the number of credits selected for this course (F = 1 unit, G = 2 units, and H = 3 units).
SYLLABUS AND COURSE INSTRUCTIONS
This course does not include the cost of any conference registration. If applicable, students must register and pay for any conference fees separately.
