Each course will consist of 45 hours of online learning, contact with the instructor and outside practicum. Students may begin working on a course after requesting the syllabus from the instructor, registering online, and attending the Zoom orientation meeting.

EDUX 5260 (A, B, C, D).  Quality instructional materials are an important component in creating a winning formula for student success. Participants will develop, construct and share new and exciting materials such as job boards, bulletin boards, flash cards, learning activities, games and learning centers. Focusing on differentiated learning, materials can be adapted to meet the educational needs of students at all grade levels and subject areas. These practical and time-tested projects will surely help students excel and bring home the gold!

  • Develop a portfolio of games, centers and other curriculum reinforcement projects.

  • Enhance the classroom, curriculum and learning centers with proven materials.

  • Create a list of inexpensive materials for use in the classroom.

  • Improve student preparation for mandated testing.

  • Develop systematic approach for creating activities for use at independent work time.

  • Increase student motivation.

  • Help students meet Content Standards.

  • Adapt materials to target your own classroom needs.

 


Course Requirements

Defined course meetings, times and attendance policy (specific to each class).

GRADING: Things that affect your grade are attendance, promptness, participation in class discussions, quality of work generated, remembering to sign in and out, projects completed, and quality of assignments and homework completed.

Active on-task participation is necessary to receive credit. Please put your cell phones on vibrate during class. If an emergency occurs and you need to make or answer a call, please step outside to have your conversation.
