These courses will be taught using our Online/Hybrid format. Each course will consist of 45 hours of online learning, contact with the instructor and outside practicum. Students may begin working on a course after requesting the syllabus from the instructor, registering online, and attending the Zoom orientation meeting.
This hands-on course will provide each participant with an extensive portfolio of center-oriented materials as well as a management system designed to increase student motivation and reinforce achievement in content standards. Participants will construct project cards, work center materials, games and activities that provide reinforcement to pupils of every grade and ability level. The focus will be on Standards-Based activities in Language arts, math and social science.

Constructing a wide range of drills, games, and curriculum reinforcement.

Providing work centers where students can extend learning after finishing their regular assignments.

Learning systematic approaches for materials development.

Using a wide range of formats for extending and reinforcing current curriculum emphasis.

Developing a wide range of materials that assist Cooperative Learning Groups.

Developing a list of sources for inexpensive materials and supplies for the construction of learning center materials.

Reinforcing a management system for effective use of center based materials.
Course Requirements
Information regarding the specific COURSE REQUIREMENTS will be given the first day of class.
GRADING: Things that affect a student's grade include attendance, promptness, participation in class discussions, quality of work generated, projects completed, and quality of assignments and homework completed. Active on-task participation is necessary to receive credit.
* Please note that the student may take up to four sections of this same course number designated A, B, C, or D. There are four levels to this course. These courses must be taken in sequential order (e.g., "A" must be taken before "B"). When enrolling, students are responsible for knowing the section of the course for which they are eligible.
